All elective surgeries canceled and all Ochsner Lafayette General Urgent Care Centers and clinics to be closed on Monday, February 15
Lafayette (4 p.m.) – Due to the Winter Storm Watch and pending threat of a hard freeze with ice accumulation, all Ochsner Lafayette General urgent care locations, professional centers, physician clinics, Cancer Center of Acadiana locations and the outpatient lab at Burdin Riehl will be closed on Monday, February 15. All COVID-19 vaccines have been canceled for Monday. The Urgent Care Center at Ochsner University Hospital & Clinics will be closing early, at 5 p.m., today.
The safety of our patients and employees continues to be our highest priority. Our emergency plans and protocols are in place and leadership is closely monitoring the situation in cooperation with authorities.
Patients are encouraged to use Health Anywhere, which connects patients to local providers via virtual visits. Health Anywhere users can instantly connect with providers through a secure, interactive video via their smartphone or tablet from anywhere with an internet connection. It’s an integrated and streamlined experience delivered through a free Health Anywhere mobile app, available on iOS and Android.
