The Emergency Department (ED) at University Hospital & Clinics is a newly remodeled and expanded facility offering state-of-the-art equipment and emergency expertise to our patients. We maintain a 20-bed, 24-hour Emergency Department. We are able to provide the treatment necessary to stabilize patients of all ages in an emergency situation.

Ancillary services such as laboratory, CT, X-Ray, ultrasound and respiratory therapy are also available 24 hours a day. We take pride in customer service and in providing a positive healing environment. UHC received Press Ganey’s prestigious Guardian of Excellence Award in Patient Experience.

The Emergency Department seeks to provide the highest quality of emergency care. Evaluation of all cases presenting to the Emergency Department will be made without regard to race, color, creed or the individual's ability to pay. Appropriate medical care will be provided by qualified nursing personnel, medical personnel, and ancillary services as required to ensure as positive a patient outcome as possible. If a higher level of care is required we will transfer to the most appropriate facility.
