LGMC was named a recipient of the HealthGrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ …The Outstanding Patient Experience Award recognizes hospitals for patient satisfaction based on a survey of questions about doctor and nurse communication, hospital cleanliness and noise levels, and medication and post-discharge care instructions. Higher patient ratings can indicate higher quality of care with lower rates of medical errors.
National Research Corporation (NRC) awarded Lafayette General Medical Center its Consumer Choice Award for 2013/2014, the ninth consecutive year LGMC has garnered this distinction. NRC based its winners on four criteria: best doctors, best nurses, best image and best reputation.
Lafayette General Health was selected for the 2013 Excellence Award, amongst all its peers and competitors, by the Small Business Institute for Excellence in Commerce (SBIEC). Each year, the SBIEC conducts business surveys and industry research to identify companies that have achieved demonstrable success in their local business environment and industry category. Those companies are recognized as having enhanced the commitment and contribution of small businesses through service to their customers and their community.
Lafayette General Medical Center was recognized as a 2013 recipient of the “Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for 2012” by The Joint Commission. LGMC was recognized for excellent performance in using evidence-based clinical processes in improving care specifically for cases of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia.
