New Lafayette General Urgent Care Center Opens in Carencro

By Lafayette General Health
December 14, 2015

Lafayette General Health (LGH) has opened its newest Urgent Care Center at 917 W. Gloria Switch Road to serve the Carencro and Upper Lafayette area. The walk-in clinic treats non life-threatening conditions, including cuts, burns sprains, fractures, aches and allergic reactions.

This new Urgent Care Center is staffed by Family Medicine physicians Ronald Menard, M.D., and Nichole Miller, M.D. LGH’s certified Urgent Care Centers are always staffed with a licensed physician, unlike many walk-in clinics that sometimes staff only a Nurse Practitioner.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Carencro location on Friday, but the center started seeing its first patients today.

Lafayette General Urgent Care Clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are two other locations, in Lafayette at 1216 Camellia Blvd. in River Ranch, and in Youngsville at 2810 Bonin Rd. in Sugar Mill Pond.
