MTS Physical Therapy & Wellness Opens New Expanded Location

MTS Physical Therapy & Wellness will celebrate the grand opening of its new Dulles facility on April 16 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The new facility is at 2115 Dulles Drive, where MTS (formerly known as McLeod Trahan & Sheffield) has served the Acadiana area since 1993.

The previous location was approximately 10,000 square feet, and has undergone a $3 million construction and expansion project. The new 16,453 square-foot facility offers a variety of convenient health and fitness options to the community. Equipped with state-of-the-art strength equipment as well as cardio machines the club features spacious, updated locker rooms, group exercise classes, among other amenities.

“We are honored and grateful to those who have trusted us for the past 35 years, to restore, maintain and improve their health through physical therapy and wellness,” said Brian Soignier, PT, FAFS, Administrator for MTS. “We are excited about the future of MTS and our ability to better serve Acadiana through creating environments for our consumers to realize their best self.”

The new location offers over 3,500 square feet of gym space, 12 physical therapy rooms, group exercise space and an Olympic size pool for aquatic therapy and exercise. New design allows for a larger office space for efficient registration. The locker rooms are updated, and a larger parking lot was created to accommodate more members.

MTS recognizes that to best restore, maintain and improve one’s health, therapy and wellness must be delivered holistically – mentally, physically and spiritually. The wellness classes appeal to consumers of all ages and stages by offering: tai chi, soul core, water aerobics, body pump, HIT classes, chair aerobics and balance classes. In addition to the therapy and above exercise opportunities, this facility also offers massage therapy and nutritional consultations through a registered dietician.
