Lafayette General Imaging (LGI) was awarded a three-year term of accreditation in positron emission tomography (PET) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
Cancer Center of Acadiana at Lafayette General was named a recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award from American College of Surgeons (ACS) Commission on Cancer (CoC). Being an accredited cancer center requires CCA to promote patient-centered cancer care, including the delivery of genetic testing and counseling, the development of survivorship care plans, and mechanisms to address psychosocial distress and health care disparities and barriers.
Cancer Center of Acadiana (CCA) at Lafayette General has received the 2016 Women’s Choice Award® as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Cancer Care. The 2016 America’s Best Hospitals for Cancer Care must have received accreditation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as any of the following: a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designated Comprehensive Cancer program, a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program, an Integrated Network Cancer Program, or an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program. CCA is an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program.
