LGH Welcomes Dr. Etier

Lafayette General Health welcomes Orthopedic Surgeon Brian Etier, M.D., to its staff. Dr. Etier is joining the Acadiana Orthopedic Center with Drs. Paul Buzhardt, Otis Drew, Stanley Foster, Angela Mayeux-Hebert, James Hlavacek, Adam Kennedy, J. Lee Leonard, Paul Novakovich, John Schutte, Michael Schutte, Blaine Walton, Jeffrey Witty and Scott Yerger.

He is a graduate of Louisiana State University, earning his Doctor of Medicine at LSUHealth Science Center in Shreveport, and a Bachelor of Science in biological engineering from LSU in Baton Rouge. He enjoyed post-graduate training in the U.S. and abroad. He completed his residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham, and his rotating externship at Hôpital de l’Archet in Nice, France. He earned his fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.

Professional organizations that Dr. Etier belongs to include the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.

Dr. Etier will begin seeing patients starting September 1 at 1448 S. College Road. Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon. For more information, or to make an appointment, call (337) 233-5300.
