Lafayette General Welcomes General Surgeon Michael Horaist

Lafayette General Health welcomes Michael Horaist, M.D., to the practice of Drs. Philip Gachassin, Dennis Eschete, Jr., and Daniel Carroll. Dr. Horaist is board certified in General and Colon & Rectal Surgery and is now practicing at Lafayette General Medical Center and Lafayette General Surgical Hospital.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Dr. Horaist earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in General Surgery and his Fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA.

Dr. Horaist belongs to the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, Louisiana State Medical Society, and Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
