Lafayette General Welcomes Family Medicine Physician to Henderson

LGMD Physician Group welcomes family medicine physician Deanna Blanchard, M.D., who is opening her practice in Henderson on January 30.

Dr. Blanchard’s new practice will be a traditional family practice, treating men and women’s health for adults 18 and older. Her office will not only serve those living in Henderson, but also lower St. Landry and northern St. Martin parishes.

Dr. Blanchard is no stranger to Louisiana. A Grosse Tête native, she graduated from a Baton Rouge area high school. She received both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science from University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Dr. Blanchard earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College and Universidad Autònoma de Guadalajara in Zapopan, Mexico. She completed her residency in the Family Medicine Residency Program at East Jefferson General Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Professional organizations that Dr. Blanchard belong to include the American Academy of Family Physicians, Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians, Louisiana State Medical Society and the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine.

Her office is located at 2825 Grand Point Highway, Suite 6 in Henderson (next to Crawfish Town USA). Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to noon. She is currently accepting appointments for new patients, call (337) 454-6280.
