Lafayette General has opened a new comprehensive sleep center as part of Neuroscience Center of Acadiana, located at 136 Hospital Drive. Adam Foreman, M.D., and Kevin R. Hargrave, M.D., have teamed up as co-medical directors of Sleep Center of Acadiana at Lafayette General, to form the only comprehensive sleep medicine facility in Lafayette with two neurologists board certified in sleep.
At Sleep Center of Acadiana at Lafayette General patients will receive full service care from start to finish, including a clinical evaluation, testing and treatment in one convenient location. The state of the art sleep center offers six beds for comprehensive sleep studies. The sleep center also offers home sleep studies, EEG’s, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) and Maintenance of Wakefulness Tests (MWT). All sleep studies include a consultation with a neurologist. Dr. Foreman and Dr. Hargrave have years of experience in helping teenage and adult patients with a vast range of neurological and sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome and insomnia.
“Dr. Foreman and Dr. Hargrave’s combined experience in sleep medicine has been instrumental in developing Sleep Center of Acadiana,” says Chris Major, Director of Neuroscience Center of Acadiana. “We are excited to have a team of experts to provide our community with comprehensive care, which treats many different sleep disorders.”
Dr. Foreman received his Doctor of Medicine at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internal medicine internship and neurology residency at University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN. Dr. Foreman also completed his sleep medicine fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Hargrave received his Doctor of Medicine at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, and completed his neurology residency at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. Dr. Hargrave has 15 years experience in private practice. He was previously medical director and owner of CNS Clinic, a general neurologic clinic and sleep center in Lafayette. He is board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine and holds a certificate in neuroimaging. He completed his MBA in Healthcare administration at UL Lafayette in 2011.
