Lafayette General Health Welcomes Family Medicine physician Marc Fernandez, M.D.

Lafayette General Health (LGH) welcomes its newest family medicine physician, Marc Fernandez, M.D., who will take over the practice of Mitchell Dugas, M.D.

Dr. Fernandez’s new practice will be a traditional family practice, treating men and women, as well as children two-years-old and up. He will also see patients for women’s health.

Dr. Fernandez is a graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU), earning his Doctor of Medicine at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, and a Bachelor of Arts at LSU in Baton Rouge. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at University Hospital & Clinics and Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.

Professional organizations that Dr. Fernandez belongs to include the American Medical Association, and American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Fernandez will begin seeing patients starting January 29, 2018, at 121 Rue Louis XIV, Bldg. 5, Lafayette, LA. Office hours are Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to Noon.
