Lafayette General Health names Amanda Logue, M.D., Chief Medical Officer
Lafayette – Lafayette General Health (LGH) announces Amanda Logue, M.D., has accepted the position of Senior Vice President/Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the health system effective May 21, 2019.
In 2009, Dr. Logue joined the LGH family and has served in various positions to include: Department Chair of Medicine, Physician Champion for Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation, Medical Director of the Hospitalist Department, Hospitalist/Internal Medicine Physician and her most recent role with LGH as Senior Vice President/Chief Medical Information Officer.
Under Dr. Logue’s leadership, she led the physician transition to a fully electronic medical record in the inpatient, emergency, surgical, and ambulatory spaces and recently achieving HIMSS Level 7 distinction. In addition, she developed an informatics team focused on process improvement through the use of technology and leading the implementation of several IS projects designed to improve the use of technology and analytics throughout LGH. She has managed many strategic business, quality, innovation, and population health objectives, thereby becoming an integral part of Lafayette General Health.
Dr. Logue attended LSU and earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry. In 2005, she earned a Doctor of Medicine Degree from LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport, LA. She completed her internship and residence in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center.
