Lafayette General Foundation (LGF) Executive Director Cian Robinson was named by Silicon Bayou News to the 2017 Silicon Bayou 100 for the second year in a row. Now in its sixth year, the awards recognize the 100 most influential and active people in tech and entrepreneurship in Louisiana.
Robinson is responsible for the strategy, growth, development and operational functions of LGF, which has invested $2.5 million in Louisiana healthcare startups through its Healthcare Innovation Fund (HIF).
“I’m honored to receive this award for the second year in a row,” says Robinson. “This is a recognition of the groundbreaking work we’re doing at Lafayette General Health (LGH). Whether it’s delivering state-of-the-art healthcare equipment to hospitals within our system, or investing in innovative partnerships, it’s humbling to know this work is being recognized by others.”
Driving innovation is a key cornerstone for LGF. Thanks to key partnerships, the Foundation operates the HIF. This seed-money investment program has devoted money to a number of companies and initiatives that have helped to enhance healthcare.
The Foundation is currently looking into other healthcare-related start-up businesses for subsequent investments, some of which are already in the evaluation process. For more information about the Healthcare Innovation Fund, call the Lafayette General Foundation office at (337) 289-8950.
