This past week, Tim Monceaux, mayor of Crowley, issued a proclamation alongside the Crowley Board of Aldermen recognizing and thanking healthcare workers for all they've done during the COVID-19 pandemic. The full proclamation is as follows:
Whereas, those who have chosen the healthcare profession as their calling, serve their communities with a reverence for human live and individual dignity; and whereas, our nation is experiencing one of the worst pandemics in its history as a result of the novel coronavirus; and whereas, physicians, nurses, health aids, EMTs and others who work in healthcare are dedicated to relieving pain and suffering, especially during this pandemic while risking their own lives and the well-being of their families; and
whereas the sick of our community, whether afflicted with the novel coronavirus or suffering with another illness, are treated and tended to by devoted healthcare workers, who surround and support our sick loved ones when family is not allowed by their loved one’s bedside; and now,
therefore, I, Tim Monceaux, Mayor of the city of Crowley, Acadia Parish, Louisiana and the Crowley Board of Aldermen, do hereby honor and extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to the healthcare workers of our community, for their heroic efforts and in recognition of their spirit, love and healthcare skill provided to their fellow man during the COVID-19 pandemic; and further, I encourage all residents of Crowley to acknowledge our healthcare workers for their devotion to the health and well-being of our citizens.
