Cancer Center of Acadiana (CCA) is announcing changes to its clinic locations that make it more accessible and convenient for patients in Acadia, Evangeline and St. Landry parishes. CCA has relocated its main clinic from Savoy Medical Center to Eunice at 3521 Hwy. 190 East, Suite W. This clinic will see patients five days per week.
CCA will continue to offer services in Mamou, sharing office space with Dr. Andrew Minardi, 809 Cherry Street, on Tuesdays. CCA is also extending services to Ville Platte at 505 East Lincoln Road on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Oncologist Kristen Sager, M.D., will continue to see patients in all three locations, with assistance from a Nurse Navigator being added to the CCA staff and Nurse Practitioner Tamara Fontenot.
For patients with regular appointments in Eunice, Mamou or Ville Platte, CCA is working to provide services at the most convenient location to the patient. The Nurse Navigator will help guide patients through their treatment program by providing information and assistance for the best course in follow-up care.
With these changes to its locations, CCA clinics will become stronger through their alignment with Acadia General Hospital and Opelousas General Health System. These hospitals can offer resources to patients that can ultimately lead to better outcomes.
CCA has several other locations, including clinics in Lafayette, New Iberia, Crowley, Opelousas and Abbeville. To call for an appointment, to check on existing appointments or for any other information, please call the CCA office in Eunice at (337) 457-5458.
