Award Recognitions for May 2016

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana announced Lafayette General Medical Center (LGMC) is one of the first hospitals to receive its national Blue Distinction^® Center+ (Plus) for Maternity Care designation. This is a new designation under the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program, designed to help patients find hospitals that deliver quality, affordable maternity care.

Lafayette General Medical Center (LGMC) received the 2016 Women’s Choice Award^® as one of America’s Best Stroke Centers. The list of national award winners, including LGMC, represents hospitals that have met the high standards of The Joint Commission, AHA and ASA.
